After daylight saving time ended Sunday, you may have found yourself thinking more than usual about clocks — making sure not just that your microwave and alarm are properly calibrated, but also your body clock. “Your body is filled with clocks,” chronobiologist Emily Manoogian told NPR, continuing, “Every cell in your body that has DNA has a molecular clock that keeps its own time.” So how do we make sure everything is aligned? Here are three habits that can help you stay in sync.

The Rockettes Turn 100 This Year — Look Back on the NYC Dance Troupe’s History

It’s 2025, and many members of Gen Alpha are focused on creating fun new dances for TikTok — but ask someone over 30 to start tearing it up like the Radio City Rockettes? They’d instantly know what move you expect them to bust out: The high kick, of course, something the iconic dancers perform more than 160 times per show. Now an indelible part of the cultural consciousness, the dance troupe was formed in St. Louis back in 1925, making this year its 100th anniversary. Boasting the title of longest-running precision dance company in the U.S., the Rockettes started with just 16 members. This holiday season, 84 women have trained to perform at New York City’s opulent Radio City Music Hall. Every year, the troupe dazzles over 1 million people, blending elements of jazz, ballet, and tap (their tap shoes actually get miked up, according to the New York Theater Guide). The dancers have appeared at some of the country’s biggest events, including — but by no means limited to — presidential inaugurations, the 1988 Super Bowl, the 2017 Tony Awards, and the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade since 1957. In honor of the Rockettes’ centennial, take a trip back with us through history, check out some vintage footage, and learn fun facts about the dance company.

“That Is Courage”: At 15, Max Dowman Is the Youngest-Ever Champions League Player

The moment Max Dowman stepped on the pitch for Arsenal vs. Slavia Prague on Tuesday, he made history. At 15 years and 308 days old, he became the youngest to ever play during a UEFA Champions League match, surpassing the previous record held by Youssoufa Moukoko, who was 16 years and 18 days old when he debuted in 2020. Dowman entered the game for about eight minutes as a substitute in the second half to help secure Arsenal’s 3-0 win, and he did not disappoint. “The first ball he gets, he takes people on. He starts to dribble and gets a foul. That is personality, that is courage,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta told the press, per ESPN. “You cannot teach that — you either have it or you don’t. It doesn’t matter what his passport says, you throw him in this context and he is able to adapt and have a good performance.” This week’s milestone is not the first “first” Dowman has under his belt, either. Last week, the soccer prodigy became Arsenal’s youngest-ever starter in the Carabao Cup, and he previously set the record as the youngest scorer in the UEFA Youth League at age 14. Meanwhile, he’s still hitting the books in Essex, England, as a Year 11 student (the equivalent of a high school sophomore), which makes his nickname of “Super Max Dowman” all the more fitting.

Full-Circle Rainbow Shot Takes Top Prize in Weather Photography Contest
Geshuang Chen / Shuchang Dong / SWNS
Regular rainbows are already beautiful enough to make us stop and stare in the street — but the above image of a full-circle one is so striking, it was named the overall winner of the Royal Meteorological Society’s 2025 Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year Competition. Now in its 10th year, the annual contest illuminates the most stunning weather and climate images taken by amateur and professional photographers around the globe, all in the name of raising awareness about climate change. Titled “The Gorgeous Ring,” the circular rainbow shot was snapped by Geshuang Chen and Shuchang Dong, and earned the pair an approximately $6,500 cash prize. The judges found this image particularly special because it captured not only a rare view of a complete rainbow, but also a moment of “perfect alignment,” with the small island framed precisely at its center. See the rest of this year’s winners.

Still side by side
Brooke Eby had a simple wish: to take her dog, Dray, for a walk. But the 36-year-old, who was diagnosed with ALS about three years ago, said this once-simple activity became “impossible” to do on her own, as she now navigates the world in a wheelchair. That’s when Chewy stepped in to build her a custom adaptive leash so she can walk Dray hands-free — and gain back a little independence. “Dray is seeing me be less and less active, and it’s just showing him that I’m still there, still the same leash holder I’ve always been,” she said.
